AP Literature and Composition Course Description
A course for students who have successfully completed Honors English II or have demonstrated competency in composition and rhetorical skills. The curriculum emphasizes analysis, research, and composition as students
become skilled readers
of prose written in a variety of periods, disciplines, and rhetorical contexts. Students will be expected
to think critically and analytically and be able to express
themselves effectively. College
level, outside reading is required.
The course is designed
to help develop the cognitive
and communicative skills necessary to do well on the AP English Language and Composition Test.
