Mr. Brent Glenn has been appointed as principal of Karns Middle School effective July 2018. Mr. Glenn joined Knox County Schools in 1997 as a teacher at Halls Middle School.

Mr. Glenn has also served as a teacher and a TAP Master and Mentor Teacher at Carter High School. He was selected to be part of the Leadership Academy in 2015 and placed at Hardin Valley Academy as an assistant principal. He has also served as an assistant principal at Career Magnet Academy and an assistant principal at Austin East High School.

Mr. Glenn holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature, a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an Education Specialist degree in Administration, all from the University of Tennessee.
