2023-24 Chromebook Device Agreement / Insurance Information

Complete the Chromebook Device Agreement for EACH student you have enrolled in Knox County Schools using the LINK above.
● You will need your child's Knox County Schools student ID number to complete this form. This information can be found in the Aspen Family Portal, or you can contact your child's school to obtain the student ID number. This is the same number that students use to login to Chromebooks and access grades in Aspen. Students should know this number!
● Students who do not have a completed 2023-24 Chromebook Device Agreement in Incident IQ will NOT be allowed to remove school technology devices from the building. Please make every effort to complete the 2023-24 Chromebook Device Agreement BEFORE Chromebook Deployment takes place at your child's school (usually during the first or second week of school).
2023/24 Chromebook Insurance Information
Parents/Guardians are being given the option to pay a $20 non-refundable, annual fee for device insurance this year.

There is no Insurance Agreement (paperwork). The only thing needed is payment.

Payment is due on or before September 30, 2023

Payment can be made online with a credit card or Echeck or a check/money order may be mailed downtown.

KCS Device Insurance, PO Box 314, Knoxville, TN 37901 - Please list the sID of the student in the memo field.

Online payment can be made in up to four installments of $5 each, making it easier on those with multiple students.

Payments will draft on the first day of each month.

Payment will NOT be accepted at any school location this year.

There is no fee waiver for Free and Reduced.

Chargers are NOT covered under insurance and will be billed at $20.

Students/Schools will be billed for any intentional damage, including damage occurring from sticker damage regardless of insurance coverage.

Stickers, Marker, and Snacks
Important Reminders about Intentional Damage to Chromebooks!

Stickers (excluding the asset tag and service tag) or any form of personalization or graffiti are all considered intentional damage this year and are not covered under insurance.

The student will be responsible for removing all stickers and sticker residue by the end of the 2023/2024 school year and will be charged the cost of replacement part(s) needed to return the Chromebook back to its original condition.

Prices for these repairs will range from $15 to $250 for a full device replacement in some cases of extreme damage (such as food where the Chromebook is no longer working).
