The ACT is a college admissions exam AND a graduation requirement in the state of Tennessee.
Karns High School students have two free opportunities to take the ACT on a school day.

The ACT is also offered on national test dates throughout the year. These are typically on Saturdays and are offered at various locations in Knoxville. You can find more information and how to register at the link below. You will need the KHS School Code: 431-108.
2020-2021 SENIOR ACT Information
When: Tuesday, September 22, 2020
Where: KHS (8:30 am to approximately 12:30 pm)
Cost: No cost to students
Registration: All 12th grade KHS students will automatically be registered and will complete necessary paperwork at school.
What to bring: 2 pencils, a photo id, an acceptable calculator
2020-2021 JUNIOR ACT Information
When: Tuesday, March 2, 2021
Where: KHS (8:30 am to approximately 12:30 pm)
Cost: No cost to students
Registration: All 11th grade KHS students will automatically be registered and will complete necessary paperwork at school.
What to bring: 2 pencils, a photo id, an acceptable calculator
