Free Weekly Tutoring
KHS is offering before and after school tutorial sessions. These tutoring sessions are available to all students. We have teachers from every content subject working in the tutorial program. Please have your student(s) attend should he/she be struggling in a particular subject. This tutoring service will run for 11 weeks and, again, is available to all students. Please click here for available tutoring sessions.
Students will use their agenda every day in every class. This is our school's AVID strategy this year.
Students are expected to fill their agendas out for each class.
Our AVID goal is to improve organization skills and study skills.
Students will use the Teacher's Classroom Agenda
(not your own) as a hall pass. If you lose your agenda,
you will need to purchase a new one from the office.
One of our goals for the school year is to minimize student absenteeism. Students will not be able to participate in extracurricular events like Homecoming and Prom if they have an excessive number of unexcused absences.
To be eligible for participation in school-wide events
1. A student can have no more than 2 days of OSS.
2. A student must be on track to graduate.
3. A student can have no more than 10 unexcused absences.
4. A student can have no more than 5 unexcused tardies to school per semester.
There should be no phones out during class periods. Cellphones may be used in the hallway during transition or during lunch only. Cell phones are strictly prohibited in the classroom. Students may not use their phone to listen to music, or have it in their hand while in the classroom. Failure to comply with teacher request will be addressed as insubordination. Multiple write-ups will cause students to not be able to obtain a parking pass, attend prom, or attend school-wide incentive events.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO ALL TRAFFIC SIGNS ON CAMPUS. SPEED LIMIT IS 15 MPH
STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK-UP IS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MAIN DRIVE. PLEASE PULL FOWARD AND BE MINDFUL OF CROSSING STUDENTS AND VEHICLES WAITING BEHIND YOU!
