• Parents and Students: Please review the information below about the club opportunities offered through the Knox County Virtual School Middle School. To begin:

     

    -6th and 7th students will meet with their clubs on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month

     

    -8th grade students will meet with their clubs on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month

     

    - Below are descriptions for the clubs we are offering for the 23-24 school year. Please take time to review the club descriptions and purpose. 

     

    - if your student finds a club they would like to join, please make sure it is offered for their grade level.

     

    - Before a student can join a club, the parent/guardian must complete a parent permission form acknowledging they are giving permission for their student to join the club.



  • E-Sports 

    Sponsors: Ms. Drake (Tuesdays 3:00-3:45) for 6th and 7th graders and Dr. McGill (Fridays 2:35-3:20) for 8th graders 

     

    We talk about gaming, play video games (both sports and non-sports games), and we have fun in the process! Our goal is to engage students with whatever platform they use to game and continue to grow interest in the wide world of gaming.


    PET Club for 8th grade students 

    Sponsor: Ms. Kenny 

    Meets on Fridays from 2:35-3:20


    Creative Writing Book Club  - For 6th and 7th grade students 

    Sponsors: Ms. Jones and Ms. McCleary 

     

    Join Ms. Jones and Ms. McCleary for some fun stories and creative writing activities.


    Sketch Club - For 8th grade students 

    Sponsor: Ms. McDavid 

    The purpose of the sketch club is to provide students who have an interest in art, an opportunity to explore sketching beyond what is offered in the curriculum. In this club, you will be able to add new drawings to your sketchbook or just doodle along with us as we explore a different prompt each session. 


    KCS Unlimited Literary Club - Mr. Jordan Edwards - For 8th grade students 

    Meets on Fridays from 2:35-3:20

    We are accepting poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction (including personal narratives), short plays, art, short comics, photography, and non-political speeches.





    Ms. Loveland and Ms. Lynch - National Junior Honor Society 

     

    Club for previously inducted 7th and 8th graders. We are a service club and will meet the 2nd week of each month to allow members to attend other clubs. Members, please complete the form found in the  link at the bottom of the flier, in order to attend meetings.

     


    Tinkering with Technology - For 6th and 7th grade students 

    Mrs. Lisa Stalans 

    Come learn how to use programs to design your own models and learn some coding skills. We will explore programs like Tinkercad and Scratch to support our learning


    Music Club - 

    Mr. Tippitt (on Tuesdays for 6th and 7th grade) and Ms. Cabrera-Blaine (on Fridays for 8th grade)

    Learn about great music from the past.


    Club 007 - For 7th Grade Students

    Meets on 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month from (3pm - 3:45)


    Minecraft with Education Club - For 8th grade students 

    Sponsor: Mrs. Wagstaff

    Meets on 2nd & 4th Fridays of the the month from 2:35-3:20

     

    This is a new endeavor for me, so we will learn together!  There will be time for lessons and time for creating.  This club will encompass all areas of Science including engineering and math.
