  • New Student Registration

    The following items are needed to register your student:
    • Copy of Birth certificate
    • Copy of Social Security Card
    • Copy of 2 proofs of residency: ie.: cable bill, utility bill, lease agreement (with name and address on it)
    • Updated shot record on the TN form (7th grade students must have Tdap and two doses of varicella prior to starting school)
    • Copy of Latest report card
    • State testing scores
    • Copy of Parenting Plan (if applicable)
    • Copy of IEP (if applicable)
    • Copy of valid Drivers License
    •                                                                            Summer Office Hours(closed on July 1)

    Athletics:  BMS is proud to take part in both KCS sanctioned sports and community recreational sports. For information on school sanctioned sports, please contact david.bailey@knoxschools.org.  Information regarding community recreational sports, see the individual community sponsors.  
     
    Facility Use (after hours): Please complete the online facility request form on the Knox County Schools website.  Keep in mind that charges for the usage may apply or contact Cathy.Woodby@knoxschools.org for more information.
     
     Scheduling:   Individual student scheduling and placement decisions are made jointly between teachers, parent, and school administration. For further information, see the grade level Administrator:  6th - sonya.winstead@knoxschools.org, 7th - david.bailey@knoxschools.org, 8th - kristi.phillips@knoxschools.org and Related Arts - cathy.woodby@knoxschools.org.  Students will take the following courses for the 2015 school year: English, Mathematics, Science, Individuals & Societies (SS), Design (computer/tech. ed), French or Spanish, PE/Health, and a Fine Art (art, band, chorus or general music). * Students who are in need of academic support will also take intervention math and/or English.

    Parent Portal:  Parents are encouraged to monitor parent portal weekly.  Parent portal will have the most up-to-date grades, attendance, tardy, and discipline records.
