  • Flu Shots:

    The Knox County Health Department will be coming to Powell High School to vacinate students for the flu on October 27, 2016 at 8:45 am.  In order to have your student vaccinated, parents must complete a consent form to recieve the flu shot at the scheduled time.  Follow the link below to complete the consent online.  If you would like a paper copy of the consent form to fill out and return, please visit the main office.  All consent forms must be completed or turned in by October 19, 2016.

    Powell High School - Complex

    Fees: $20 per student (make checks payable to Powell High School)

    Deadline to Register: September 19th


    *Students may qualify for fee waiver

    *Students will receive the PSAT/NMSQT Official Student Guide, which includes a full-length practice test, upon registration.

    Tennessee provides 12 summer programs for gifted and talented high school students.  Go to for more information.  Applications are available beginning Sept. 1- December 2, 2017 on the Governor's Schools website.  Complete nomination packets must be POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN DEC 2, with the exception of the Governor's School for the Arts which will be NOVEMBER 4 to allow for student auditions.    If you have any questions see Ms. Patt in the Guidance Office.

    The main door of the building will be unlocked at 7:30 a.m. If you arrive prior to 7:30 am you will have to wait outside regardless of weather or time of morning.  7:00/7:30 am classes will discuss entrance procedures directly with their teachers.

     Students arriving before 8:15 a.m. need to stay in designated locations. These areas are the gym or cafeteria. The area in front of the main office must be kept clear. No students are allowed to go to their lockers or teachers' classes before 8:15 a.m. without a note from the teacher who they are going to see.

    If you arrive at school after 8:30 am, all doors will be locked and you MUST enter through the main entrance facing Emory Road.
