  • In General Music class at FIS the 5th grade students have just completed a unit on harmony. The fourth grade students are learning World Drumming techniques, and the 3rd graders are reviewing pitch and volume to prepare for TCAP testing. After TCAP testing we have units planned for all grades based around the musical "Stomp Out Loud." This unit will be focused around found sound and movement to music.

  • We desperately need more volunteers for the 2015-2016 school year. We are now asking for volunteers to attend one of the summer training sessions so we can be in a better position for next year. Here are the dates for summer training: June 4 and July 2 from 9-12.  Coffee and pastries will be provided and parking is free at the Children's Hospital garage.  The PTA pays for the $10 fee out of the clinic funds. Thanks for helping us to keep our children safe.
