SUMMER TECHNOLOGY SUGGESTIONS
All PK-5th grade students had access to a technology class at least once a week (PK every-other-week) this school year. This was very fortunate for all of our East Knox students!!! In addition, we purchased 90 Chromebooks that were regularly used in the classrooms so your child is more technology-proficient then they were in August. To continue their keyboarding, coding, writing, reading, and mathematics skills we encourage you to find opportunities to use technology as a TOOL in learning. If you do not have internet access at home, all of the Knox County libraries can provide limited time on their computers for you and your child with a library card. Under the Quick Links in the left sidebar you will see a copy of the pink letter sent home with your child that had their password access from their classroom teacher. Although the accounts will not be monitored over the summer, they will stay open and can be reviewed in August by their classroom teachers. All websites are suggestions and those listed in the letter are FREE. Summertime is a great time to explore, remediate, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
