School Announcements




    The Jostens representative will be at Hardin Valley Academy on Friday, February 24th, during lunch in the HVA Auditorium to deliver senior supplies. You will receive a collection envelope in the mail. Any remaining balance due must be paid before you pick up your merchandise.  Senior supplies not picked up will be taken back to Jostens.  There is a $20 shipping charge for any supplies that have to be mailed.


    Congratulations to Aimee Lampkins for placing third in the Wrestling State Tournament this past weekend and congratulations to Kenya Sloan for winning her third state championship. Kenya is the first three time state champion in girls' wrestling in the state of Tennessee!


    ETSU will be at HVA during lunch on Tuesday, February 28 to talk with admitted students and applicants about deadlines. Drop by to see them during your lunch period.


    Tuesday, February 28 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. LMU will be meet in the Multipurpose Room to talk with interested Juniors and Seniors. Sign up through the School Counseling website.


    Here's the latest in Banking news.... The Hawks' Nest Egg is open to help you with all your financial needs. Located in the atrium, it will be open during lunch TODAY. Our helpful and friendly interns will be available to assist you. The Hawks' Nest Egg also offers online banking for your mobile banking convenience. The Hawks' Nest Egg is a branch of the UT Federal Credit Union.


    Hawkeye applications for the 2017-2018 school year are available now in F113.  Applications are due by 8:30 a.m. on March 3.  See Mrs. Wash in F113 for more details.  


    All HVA CyberPatriots will meet immediately after school on TODAY (Thursday, February 23rd) in D207.  Yearbook pictures will be taken.


    HVA TALONS Executive Board needs to contact their mentors ASAP!!  If an Executive Board member has not picked up their envelope, he or she needs to do so ASAP!!!


    HVA International Club will meet on Monday, February 27 from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the HVA Library.  Please join us as we learn about Bridge Refugee Services and plan for 8th grade night.


    Rising Senior Girls who are interested in applying to Girl's State must turn in the application to Mrs. Beckler in the School Counseling Office. The application is available in the Counseling Office.  More information is available on the School Counseling web page.


    If you are interested in participating in Mr. Lee and Ms. Woods' peer tutoring next year, you need to fill out a form and return it to D111.  Forms are available in D111 or on the Guidance web page.


    Any student interested in taking ACTS next year should pick up an application from the office or from Mrs. Crichton in F-118.


    Be on the lookout for your Matchmaker RESULTS coming soon! They will be sold during lunch for $2. Don't miss out on the fun!


    HVA Young Americans, a bipartisan political club, will meet in F114 on Monday, February 27th, 3:40 p.m. to discuss President Trump's proposed environmental policies.  We will also be taking our yearbook photo. Everybody is welcome, whether you are knowledgeable or just want to learn! Be ready for some friendly debate.


    Lady Hawks Basketball Game, Friday, February 24th, at Powell High School at 7 p.m. for the 1st round of regional tournament.


    HVA TSA -  if you are planning to going to State Conference, please see Ms. Hartman for a permission slip.


    Congratulations to Savannah Truan and Bryce Jenkins who are the Liberal Arts students of the month and Allison Walker who was chosen as the teacher of the month.


    HVA Prom Tickets will go on sale on February 27th. Tickets will be sold during lunch and in the front office. The cost is $35. You may pay with a check or exact change. This year's Prom, Hollywood Nights will be at the Grande Event Center on April 8th.
