  • Spring Academy Night at Farragut High School
    Farragut High School proudly announces its spring Academy Night on Tuesday, April 28th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the FHS Commons.
    This evening highlights the capstone experiences of our Academy, Senior Project, and Senior Ambassador students.  Students will present their internship, research, clinicals, and community service work in an informal, open house style setting.  Music will be provided by Mrs. Michelle Clupper and her orchestra students.  Academy Night is an opportunity for the FHS community to learn more about our seniors' culminating real-world learning experiences. 
    All students, parents, teachers, administrators, and community members are cordially invited to attend.

  • Career Day Welcomes Knox County Schools’ Eighth Graders, High Schoolers

    Close to 90 area employers and colleges will participate in the annual Knox County Schools Career Day for 8th-12th grade students on Monday, April 13, 2015, 4:00-7:30 p.m., at the Knoxville Expo Center (5441 Clinton Highway). The event is free and open to all Knox County Schools’ eighth graders, high school students and their parents.  Visit the Knox County Schools web site for a full list of employers and colleges participating in Career Day.  Visit for more information.

  • Golden Anchor Awards

    In order to recognize and encourage the retention of outstanding educators at Farragut High School, the Education Foundation will be awarding grants to deserving educators. These grants are known as the Golden Anchor Awards (GAA). To be eligible for a GAA, an educator must dedicate a significant amount of time and effort over and above their regular teaching duties to enhance student learning and development.

    Any current educator at FHS is eligible to receive a GAA. An educator may be nominated to receive a GAA by any teacher, student, or parent of a currently enrolled student or an administrator at FHS. The nomination deadline is midnight, April 26, 2015. Nominations may be submitted by e-mail to or by turning them in to the main office at FHS. The Golden Anchor Awards will be presented at the annual teacher’s meeting in May.

  • Vote for FHS to win $25,000!

    Volunteer Pharmacy has pledged to give away $25,000 once every quarter to the school that wins the most votes.  Anyone can vote for a local school once every day (without a purchase).  If you fill a prescription, your vote will count as the number of prescriptions filled plus 1 more vote.  Ballots are available at both the Knoxville and Maryville locations.  Please review this link for the full article.

  • 2015 Tyler Duke Foundation Outstanding Educator Award

    The TYLER DUKE FOUNDATION strives to recognize outstanding educators who significantly impact the lives of young people. Nominations may be submitted by students or parents to the FHS principal or administration at any time by using the nomination form below or by e-mailing The nomination deadline is April 15, 2015. All qualifying submittals will be considered by Stan and Lisa Duke, with additional recommendations from the FHS Education Foundation and the Farragut High School Administration. The OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR AWARD will be presented at the annual teacher’s luncheon toward the end of the school year and announced at the time of graduation in May 2015.

  • Help Save Dave!
    Help us Save Dave and purchase a new costume for our school mascot!  The costume for our mascot, Admiral Dave, is in extremely poor condition.  The FHS Leadership Class is raising money to replace the costume.  Please make a donation at our GoFundMe account to show your Admiral pride!   Thanks for helping us to Save Dave!

    Please find Parent Portal Q&A and help here.  Parents can also e-mail and call Laurie Gilliam at (865) 594-1848 for assistance. Parents who did not receive their Parent Portal log-in information can send their children to the school counseling office to pick up the information.

    The 2015 – 16 Transfer window  opens Wednesday, October 1st.  Applications  are available in the schools main office.  Please complete the application and return them to Knox County Schools transportation.
