Challenging stigmas associated with students struggling with substance misuse by:

• Educating stakeholders about self-stigma, targeted social stigma, and structural stigma;
• Promoting awareness of implicit bias and encouraging group accountability among students, staff, and parents to avoid stigmatizing language;
• Helping parents and students understand that substance misuse is not a moral failing or a lack of willpower; and
• Addressing the stigma of relapse, reinforcing that recovery is an ongoing process.

Fostering a healthy campus environment that supports sustained sobriety through coordinated care and wraparound services by:

• Identifying recovery barriers and creating alternative experiences to address them; 
• Partnering with off-site organizations to provide additional support and alternative sobriety experiences; and
• Launching a Recovery-in-Residence program to mentor and guide students through their recovery journeys.

Providing quality education tailored to diverse learning needs by building academic skills and preparing students for success beyond high school by:

• Personalizing learning and ensuring teachers are equipped with diverse strategies to meet student needs;
• Offering credit recovery programs and counseling support to help students meet graduation requirements; 
• Implementing project-based learning to provide community service opportunities; and
• Developing Student Learner Profiles to outline individual goals, needs, and progress with clear benchmarks and timelines.

Elevate uses evidence-based treatment models to deliver effective interventions for addiction and co-occurring disorders.

The Forward Thinking Series combines intervention strategies with widely used risk and needs assessments, incorporating cognitive-behavioral principles to inspire students to make positive changes.

Elevate operates 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on the following schedule:

• 9:30 - 10 a.m.: Morning Meeting
• 10 - 11:30 a.m.: Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
• 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Lunch
• 12 - 1:30 p.m.: Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
• 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.: Academics

*On Fridays, academics will replace IOP sessions.
