Knox County Schools to Hold 2016 College Fair

Knox County Schools will host their annual College Fair from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Jacob Building.

The Fair is open to all schools in Knox County and will host over 2,200 junior- and senior-level students. Representatives from over 100 technical schools, two- and four-year colleges, private and state universities will interact with Knox County Schools students; informing and encouraging students to further their education.

The College Fair is all about access. Knox County Schools believes that all students should have exposure to college information and hosting a college fair is one way the district can bring secondary students to the tables of college representatives.

Several 2016 seniors are on full scholarships at major universities and a big part of their scholarship search began with the table conversation at the KCS College Fair. The Fair will also have technology stations to assist students in preparing for Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

Knox County Schools is proud to sponsor this key event which is in line with both the state's Drive to 55 and America's Reach Higher initiatives.
