School Security Officers Honored

At recent Knox County Board of Education meetings, two Knox County Schools School Security Officers were honored. Jimmy Dance was named by the Knox County Schools Security Department as the 2015 School Security Officer of the Year for his leadership, ability to build respectful relationships with students and staff and dedication to the safety and security of the school he serves.

School Security Officer Kevin Tarbell was honored for recently taking swift action to administer aid to a student who was choking at his school.

The Knox County Schools salutes both of these dedicated security professionals.
