Farragut High School Repeats Win at Ethics Bowl

A team of six seniors at Farragut High School secured a first-place finish in the Tennessee High School Ethics Bowl for the second year in a row. Locally hosted by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Department of Philosophy, Ethics Bowl is a competition in which high school students debate real-world issues based on philosophical and ethical theories. The team will compete at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, for the National High School Ethics Bowl trophy in April.

Team members are Katie Fowlkes, Audrey Gibson, Peter Grossman, Faiza Islam, Connor Miller and Sara Zetterberg. School sponsors are Morgan Rutherford, social studies teacher, and Elizabeth Blankenship, social studies instructor.

Additionally, two teams from the Knox County Schools placed second and third in the state competition: L&N STEM Academy and Fulton High School, respectively.
