Mooreland Heights Celebrates Construction

Celebration Commemorates Construction
Hundreds of students, teachers, parents, community members and dignitaries gathered to celebrate construction that has just begun at Mooreland Heights Elementary School.  The 7,500-square-foot addition will provide the school with six new classrooms, new office space, additional parking and playground areas and more.
To add to the festive atmosphere, instead of the traditional turning of dirt with shovels, students and many others cut the ribbon (aka construction caution tape) to mark this important moment in the history of the 84-year-old school.  The construction is expected to be complete in August.
