Gov. Haslam ceremoniously signs Tennessee Promise at Fulton High School

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam visited Fulton High School on May 15 to ceremoniously sign into law the Tennessee Promise bill. The bill was officially signed into law in Nashville on May 13. The Tennessee Promise initiative means every high school graduate in Tennessee can go to community college or a college of applied technology free of charge. Fulton High School students, elected officials, Superintendent of the Knox County Schools Dr. Jim McIntyre, Fulton High School Executive Principal Rob Speas and others witnessed the ceremonial signing.
