CTE Goes Golfing to Support Programs

A blue sky welcomed golfers to the annual Knox County Schools’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) program “CTE Goes Tee Time” Golf Tournament on September 18 at Three Ridges Golf Course. More than 70 area businesses and individuals sponsored holes, proceeds from which directly support CTE classrooms, and The Home Depot sponsored team prizes. Additionally, the event offered an opportunity for CTE students in dual enrollment photography class to gain real-world experience photographing a wide-scale event. The golf tournament was sponsored by the North Knoxville Business and Professional Association and CTE Foundation. The CTE Foundation seeks partnerships with business and industry to pair students with their paths of study, stimulates post-graduate training by providing scholarships to career-based institutions, assists with additional technology and equipment for the CTE classrooms and provides assistance for national competitions.
