As we navigate the challenges of COVID-19, I want to thank you for helping make this school year a success. Despite the pandemic-related obstacles, support from families is a great encouragement to our teachers and employees.
I also want to highlight an important academic resource that will soon be available. On Monday, Sept. 20, each KCS high school will begin offering tutoring for students who need additional assistance.
Tutoring will be offered in-person before school or after school according to the schedule linked below. For students who are in CoVID isolation or contact quarantine, virtual tutoring will be offered on Microsoft Teams during the school day according to the schedule linked below. Our Tutoring Coordinator is School Counselor, Heidi Moles, and she will be reaching out to families of students under isolation or quarantine to set them up for tutoring.
We are very pleased to provide this service, which will be expanded to KCS elementary and middle schools in the coming weeks. Our hope is that additional academic supports will help students catch up on any learning that was interrupted over the last 18 months and will be instrumental in helping them achieve academic success in the future.
As always, please feel free to contact us if your student has any additional needs.
