Additionally, there are several items parents or guardians can complete ahead of time to expedite their device deployment at Halls Middle School.  Please make every effort to complete these items ahead of time as we could potentially have hundreds of parents and students on campus at the same time during the deployment.   Please review each important section found below.

Here is the link to complete your student's Chromebook Device Agreement: https://kcs.incidentiq.com/policy/d6c01d50-61a7-40fe-9e96-1ccb55973349/lookup.  Halls Middle School WILL NOT issue your student a Chromebook under any circumstances unless you have completed your device agreement.  You will need your student's ID# to complete this process.  If you do not know your student's ID#, please REPLY to this email with your student's name and date of birth.

Here is the link to accept or decline your insurance agreement: https://kcs.incidentiq.com/policy/35938b6c-23ba-498a-b47f-4369b7d0c7a0/lookup.  You will need your student's ID# to complete this process.  If you do not know your student's ID#, please REPLY to this email with your student's name and date of birth.  If your student qualifies for free or reduced lunch, then Knox County Schools will waive the $30 cost for Chromebook insurance.  You can complete the free/reduced lunch application here (https://www.lunchapplication.com).  You MUST use the link above and ACCEPT the insurance agreement first before your cost will be waived.  Families who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch must pay the $30 insurance cost before 9/30/20 if you choose to accept the insurance agreement.  You can pay $30 in cash or write a check to "KCS Device Insurance" to turn in on your deployment date.

Parents must review the Knox County Schools technology device procedures and expectations document attached found here well as the Virtual Student orientation document found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o6HMPXHTR4T1lxryvfVpPUrbxTVzguB_/view?usp=sharing (if applicable).  Please complete the Google Form found here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeGW5ClhH4KcEN3zThJS4oVjfCFutSNRlwoTSjB475f1Nuvyw/viewform) once you review the document(s).

Finally, as we return to school after the extended break, we would like to support students during their re-entry to school life. Your input helps us better serve students and make sure we meet their needs as we transition to school year 2020-21. Please take the time to complete this voluntary survey to best prepare the Halls Middle School counseling department to serve you and your students!   ~ Ms. Trent and Mrs. Thomas
