Parent/caregiver expectations
Because students are bringing Chromebooks home each evening, here are suggested expectations to be shared with all parents or caregivers, in addition to school-specific information:

• Review work with students and make a plan for completing assignments.

• Chromebooks should be charged to 100 percent battery life every night.

• KCS recommends charging the Chromebook in a common space rather than in a student’s bedroom or private space.

• Return the Chromebook to school each day.

• Families experiencing issues with their student’s device or other technology should call the Virtual Support Line at (865) 594-8410 and leave a message. District staff will be monitoring the voicemail and returning calls as quickly as possible.
