Kindergarten Round-Up Information
Necessary files for enrollment are at the bottom of this page.
Hello West Haven Families,
Kindergarten Round-Up will be much different than in past years. This year’s Round-up will be a drive-through Round-Up where parents can pick-up and drop-off Kindergarten enrollment packets. Kindergarten Enrollment Packets are available electronically on our school here (links below) or parents can pick up a paper version of the enrollment packets in a tub that will be located outside our front door starting on Monday. We will also have a few Spanish versions and Volunteer PreK Applications in the tub that are clearly marked. Please make sure you get the correct folder that you need.
On Tuesday, May 12, staff will be available in the drive through line from 8-10:00 am and 3-5:00 pm to give out and receive Enrollment forms. We will also be able to make copies of required documents during that time. We will also hold a Round-up time on Thursday, May 14, from 12-2:00 pm. We will also accept Voluntary Pre-K applications during these times. Parents may also email their completed packets to Debbie.email@example.com or fax them in (865)594-4743).
Remember, that in addition to the forms required by Knox County schools found in the enrollment packet, *** every child must be 5 by August 15, 2020 *** in order to be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten and have the following to fully complete the registration process:
1) A birth certificate, passport, or other officially acceptable evidence of date of birth,
2) An up-to-date Tennessee School Immunization Certificate and a Tennessee Child Health Record (Physical Exam) completed and signed by a physician or licensed medical provider. These forms are provided at your child’s doctor’s office or the Knox County Health Department. Physical Exams must have been completed within a year of the start of school.
3) Proof of residency, such as a power bill or lease agreement.
If you need assistance with completing the packet, you may call the school at 594-4467. If you need assistance due to a language barrier, you may call the Welcome Center at 594-1760 to schedule an appointment.
Please help us get the word out by informing any parents of eligible children within our school zone about these dates and information. It is important for our planning that every eligible child be registered this spring. Thank you for your help with Kindergarten Round-Up.
It’s a Great Day to be a Wildcat!
