The Knox County Schools coordinated with the Knox County PublicLibrary (KCPL) to facilitate issuing librarycards to students in the Knox County Schools. The KCPL librarycard can provide instant access to thousands of digital children’s and youth reading materials as well as over a million print items. This is a great way to access fresh reading materials as students and families read together!
With an Internet connection, students can access digital magazines, interactive books, ebooks, and databases, and most can be downloaded for use offline. This card also provides full check-out privileges for print materials at any KCPL branch. You can explore KCPL at www.knoxlib.org.
To govern the use of these important instructional assets, students and staff are expected to adhere to the Knox County Schools’ Guidelines for Acceptable Use of Electronic Media.
This is an opt-out service. All students will be issued a KCPL card unless you complete the form in Aspen by Tuesday, April 6. If you would like for your child to receive the card, you do NOT need to complete the form.
Public Library cards will be going home with students on Friday, May 14th!
