Beginning in the 2023-24 school year, the KCS Nutrition Department will begin using a new online payment system for school meals, and a new website to apply for free / reduced-price meals.
The new portal is called LINQ Connect, and will allow users to add funds, monitor meal purchase history, and apply for free / reduced-price meals in one location. The new portal will be available beginning in July 2023.
All positive balances on existing school meal accounts will roll over to the new system. To continue using online meal payments, a new account will need to be created on LINQ Connect after July 7, 2023.
However, applications for free / reduced-price meals will not roll over from prior school years, so any family wishing to apply for this benefit should complete a new application on LINQ Connect after July 7, 2023.
As we approach the transition date, we will provide more details, including a link to the LINQ Connect portal and QR codes for the app on both Apple Store and Google Play.
