Email setup for iPhone mobile phones
- From the home screen, select Settings.
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Select Add Account. (If a message appears saying it cannot confirm the server, click continue.)
- When prompted, select Microsoft Exchange (iOS 6) or Exchange (iOS 7) as the account type.
- Configure your account by filling in the provided fields:
- Email: Your primary email address (e.g. joe.user@knoxschools.org)
- Password: Your email password and Active Directory password are the same.
- Description: Enter a descriptive name for your account (e.g. School or Work)
Select Next. Your device will attempt to connect to the mail server to verify settings.
Note: If your device is unable to automatically obtain the server settings, please attempt the manual configuration steps listed below.
Choose which items you would like to synchronize (Mail, Contacts, and/or Calendars), then select Save.
Manual Configuration
If your device is unable to automatically obtain the server settings in Step 6 of the above section, you will be brought to a screen where they can be entered manually. Please enter the following before selecting Next:
- Email: Your primary email address (e.g. joe.user@knoxschools.org)
- Sever: outlook.office365.com
- Domain: leave blank
- Username: Your primary email address (e.g. joe.user@knoxschools.org)
- Password: Your email password and Active Directory password are the same.
- Description: Enter a descriptive name for your account (e.g. school or work)
