I joined Knox County Schools in 2006 as a 6th grade teacher at Holston Middle School. In 2010, I joined the leadership team at Holston as a TAP Mentor teacher. I entered administration in 2012 when I was appointed assistant principal at Sarah Moore Greene Magnet Academy. I have severed as assistant principal at Sarah Moore Greene for the past 5 years. I was appointed as assistant principal at Shannondale in 2017.

I hold a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies-Human Learning for Tennessee Technological University, a Master of Administration and Supervision and an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.

I am a mom of two young boys. Brayden just turned 6 in May and will be starting 1st grade and Eli is 3. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, weekends at the lake, and working out. I believe that education is the key to unlocking endless possibilities for our children. As an educator, it’s my goal to support and guide our students to discover their passion and support them in reaching their goals and rising to their highest potential. During the past two years, Sarah Moore Greene has implemented The Leader in Me framework based off of Dr. Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. One piece of the framework is for everyone to develop personal and academic goals. I am excited to begin goal setting with our students next year and supporting them to achieving success and nothing less!
