Mrs. Kelly Forester

I am excited to be a part of the Byington Staff. I look forward to each new year with the kids and the time we have to help better them as learners and individuals. I also benefit by learning from the kids each day.

I began my teaching career in 1996 as a middle school English teacher at Dulles Middle School in the Fort Bend ISD in Texas. I also served as a high school English teacher and assistant principal in the Houston ISD in Texas. I joined Knox County Schools as an assistant principal and athletic director at Carter High School in 2004. Later, I moved to Karns High School to teach English in 2005. I then worked for Pellissippi State Community College teaching writing and Intro to Teaching. I then became a literacy coach at Fulton High School in 2012. I spent the last three years at Fulton as the Curriculum Principal and Health Science Principal at Fulton High School.

I grew up in El Paso and graduated from Texas A&M University, but have come to learn to wear orange when UT isn't playing A&M. I have been married for 15 years (to a Bearden graduate), and we have two young kids that we look forward to seeing graduate from one of our Knox County high schools one day.
