Engagement

CASL Meeting

The work of Knox County Schools is enhanced by the insights of community members and leaders, and that essential feedback is facilitated through a framework for intentional engagement. Community engagement is essential to our mission, and multiple pathways are provided for educators, families, and community members to get involved at the school, regional, and district levels.

“We have made a conscious effort to ensure there are multiple channels for community voices to be heard, and many distinct avenues for consistent, two-way communication.”

- Knox County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jon Rysewyk

The structure of these pathways helps catalyze different kinds of feedback—some organized by geography and community, others focused on roles and competencies, and some accounting for both. Ultimately, the goal is to cast a wide net that captures diverse perspectives while also generating insights that are targeted to specific challenges and stakeholders.
