Facility Naming Requests
Knox County Schools provides a formal process for community members and organizations to submit requests for the naming or renaming of district facilities or portions of facilities. These requests can honor a person, major donor, significant geographic location, or historic event or place that has had a lasting, positive impact on students, staff, and the broader community.
Requests for naming or renaming must follow established guidelines and undergo a thorough review process. Proper documentation is required, and administrative staff will conduct research on all requests to ensure they meet the district's criteria. Each request is carefully considered to ensure the name reflects the values and mission of Knox County Schools.
