HVES does not have an HVES-based summer reading 2021 program this year. Instead, we encourage you to listen to recordings of Storytime with Ms. Foust on the HVES Library Canvas page and to participate in some of the other local reading programs available to our students. See below for details.

Students still have access to the HVES Library Canvas classroom over the summer! After May 26, the course may be moved into "Past Enrollments" if it is not favorited. From Canvas you can access my readalouds and links from the 2020-21 school year along with some new things including:
Storytime with Ms. Foust
This summer, I have been recording and posting stories requested by our students. To access these recordings, log in to your Canvas account using the same log-in information you used for your school Chromebook.
Once you are in your Canvas account, use the Dashboard to go to the HAV3 HVES Library Class, and get started.
Titles included in the recorded readalouds so far are:
- Dinosaurs Before Dark, Magic Tree House Book 1 -- completed
- Dog Man -- completed
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter Book 1 -- completed
- The Last Kids on Earth, Book 1 -- completed
- The Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle Treasury -- completed
- Nate the Great, Book 1 -- completed
- Owl Diaries Book 1, The Treetop Festival -- completed
- The Sasquatch Escape, Imaginary Veterinary Book 1 -- completed
- Who Was Stan Lee? -- completed
It may be that students can simply continue to log in and use the old Library Canvas class just as they did during the 2020-21 school year. That said, it's good to have a back-up plan, so:
If the Library class is not showing on your Canvas Dashboard:
Using the menu on the left of the Canvas page, under the word Dashboard, select "Courses"
Scroll all the way down to "Past Enrollments"
If you are not seeing new recordings in your Library Canvas Class:
