Mr. Adam Meade

I started my counseling career here at Carter Middle in 2012, and even though I am originally from Virginia I bleed Green!! I love working with middle school students because you get to see them start to be the adults in which they will become. I am here to help 6th grade students adjust to middle school and assist them with any issues they may encounter. I know this is going to be a great year at Carter Middle and look forward to meeting and knowing all the new faces for the 2017-18 school year. I am always here to assist students and their parents/guardians.

My wife and I have not had any children yet, but we do have two awesome dogs. I like to hunt, fish, go camping, and work on classic cars. I am also the boys track coach here at Carter Middle.

Hi!   I’m Beth Kyburz, the 7th grade Counselor at Carter Middle School. I’m excited to be here this year, and am looking forward to working with our students, parents and staff.   I live in Maryville, and have a 18 year old son named Adam and a cat named MooMoo (she’s black and white and has the markings of a Holstein cow). In my free time I enjoy getting out into the mountains, and kayaking.

I’ve been a school counselor for 15 years, and have worked at all levels: elementary, middle and high school.   Middle school is my favorite!   I love being able to help students through their many stages of self discovery at this age. My door is always open and I am available to both students and parents any time there is a question or concern.

Please refer back to this page for links to upcoming events or information from the Counseling Department.   I’m looking forward to a great year!
