2012-13 School Calendar - Yearly one-page calendar you can print and keepSchool Times - Don't forget that Kindergarten is a FULL DAY program this year.
On-line calendar- Updated with "What's Happening Now" throughout the year.
School Calendars - Each school maintains a calendar of events. Your student's classroom teacher or coach may also provide a calendar specific to their class or team.
Your personal Calendar - Parents and students have a personal calendar as part of the KCS website services. Lo-gin with your account to use your personal calendar. You may view and combine calendars from any group to which you belong.

School Supplies, Fees
Each school website has a listing of school supplies. Please check your student's school website for more information about needed supplies.
Course Fees: Some courses/activities also require a fee. Please check with your school or teacher about individual course or activity fees.

Enrollment requirements
A birth certificate or officially acceptable proof of birth date
Proof of up-to-date immunizations and of a health/physical examination, recorded on a Tennessee Child Health Record completed by a medical provider or a County Health Department. The form to be completed may be obtained from a medical provider or from the Health Department. The health/physical examination must have been completed within the past year. No student will be enrolled or allowed to attend school without a completed Tennessee School Immunization Certificate.

School Messenger - the school system's telephone, email, and web-based messaging system for parents, teachers, staff. Daily attendance reports are made via the system as well as messages related to your school and from the district. It is important that you have an updated, accurate phone number registered with the system.
Parent Portal- Middle and High School parents can track assignments, attendance, grades, and more. Parent's must get user-names and passwords for Parent Portal from their local school

School Web Sites: Each school maintains its own website where you may find announcements, news, calendars, and information specific to that school.
Classroom websites: Teachers may also maintain individual classroom sites for each subject or grade level.
How to Volunteer - Parent involvement is always welcome at Knox County Schools. Please visit your school to see how you may help support your child's education. The Knox County Schools also has a Volunteer Registry on line where you may register your skills or search for a specific kind of volunteer activity at any or all schools or the district.
School Support Organizations - These are approved support organizations listed by school. Included are booster clubs, PTA and PTSO groups and more.
Family and Community Engagement - The Knox County Schools Family and Community Engagement Department offers hundreds of activities, conferences, and resources throughout the year. Please visit their site for more information.

School Board PoliciesCampus Gear - Some schools have adopted a Board approved dress standard that varies from the basic Knox County Schools Dress Policy.
Procedures
Procedures Manual - Knox County Schools Board of Education sets board policy. How that policy is implemented is determined by the district administration by adopting and/or changing procedures to implement school board policy. Procedures do not require a vote of the Board, but reflect the intent of the Board's policy.
